The Ellis Family

We live just outside of Knoxville Tennessee USA in a rural area. We minister in Knoxville and surrounding areas of impoverished rural Appalachia. We also minister in other States, like New York, specifically Buffalo, and in other countries like Ireland.

Our heart is really to see children reached early in their lives with the gospel, and, out of that, we desire to see families touched and changed by God's power. We want to see youth "thrust" into the mission field and full-time Kingdom work, so our short term mission trips are geared to that end. We want to see children, youth and adults become disciples of Jesus, who go out and disciple others, so we desire to run DTS either in Knoxville or abroad. We want to see the nations reached with the gospel and with the Word of God, so we are a part of YWAM International, which has that same heart and mission mindset. We go to the nations and desire to go to more and more in the future, and also minister to the nations who are here in Knoxville. We want to see the impoverished families of rural Appalachia given the gospel in word and deed by doing Bible Release Time in schools and giving out clothing and necessities.

WCC was our home church before we headed out into missions. We attended there from 1997 until 2004, when we started our journey with YWAM.

We began what we are currently doing in 2011, when we resigned from the church where we had been on staff for 15 years heading up the children's ministry department. We became full-time missionaries again and began raising support. In 2013 we began the process of joining back up with YWAM and in 2015 were commissioned as YWAM Knoxville. We plan on staying in this area of the world until He tells us to move. That could be next week or 10 years from now.
