WHERE WE SERVE
We are full-time staff with Youth With a Mission, serving at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii! We are currently staffing the Crossroads Discipleship Training School (DTS) program in YWAM Kona, while navigating the transition and visas required to serve long-term at the YWAM Kona base.
OUR MISSION IN A NUTSHELL
We are a family of four from Ontario, Canada who have served in full-time pastoral ministry for fourteen years and have recently made the pivot to serving in full-time missions. After walking through a painful season of burnout and mental health crisis, we moved our family to Kona, Hawaii to participate in a DTS program. It didn't make a lot of sense but we knew the Lord was asking us to do it. We experienced such rich healing in our hearts throughout our time as students with YWAM and are passionate to help others walk through their healing as well. Healed hearts are an unstoppable force in the Kingdom of God! We know that when people are healed from the inside out, they become motivated to answer the call of God on their lives. We are about to launch teams of healed hearts of all ages (age 5 months to 83 years) to Alaska, South Africa, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, and Germany. To the ends of the Earth for Love!
WCC CONNECTION
Tim grew up at Wilmot Centre Church, was baptized there, and interned on staff in Bible College. Stephanie and Tim attended and served in many areas at Wilmot through university and beyond until they started full-time pastoral ministry in 2009. Both of our families attend and serve in various areas at WCC.
MINISTRY TIMELINE
We entered full-time pastoral ministry in 2009, pastoring two different churches in the EMCC. In 2022, we felt God asking us to lay down that ministry and join YWAM. We completed our DTS in 2023 and joined YWAM Canada that same year. We are currently staffing the Crossroads DTS program in YWAM Kona, while navigating the transition and visas required to serve long-term at the YWAM Kona base. We are committed to say yes to whatever Jesus leads us into. A little less comfort, a lot more reward. And so the adventure goes...
HOW TO SUPPORT
- Prayer support for our family and the ministry here. Despite its “beaches and palm trees” veneer, Hawaii is a spiritually dark place with a lot of cultural trauma. We need intercessors and prayer warriors to uphold and sustain us.
- Please consider financially supporting us on a monthly basis as we are currently living well below our budget. Hawaii is the most expensive state in which to reside, and the current value of the Canadian dollar is also prohibitive. Your financial support allows us to minister God's full restoration to people for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission.
