Statistics show that young people are leaving the church at an alarming rate. At Wilmot Kids, we want to defy the statistics. We want our children to be meaningfully connected with each other and with positive leaders in their lives, as well as, most importantly, deeply rooted in their relationship with Jesus Christ. 

For this reason, we are launching our very own Wilmot Kids Connect program. Children will be given the opportunity to choose an elective (eg. baking, sign language, painting, wood-working, science projects, sports, etc.) to participate in for a 6 week block. Each week we will dig deep into the Word and then break into small groups for discussion and relationship-building through the electives.

This program is for students in grades 1 – 5. We will be kicking off this exciting program on January 15^th, and it will run on Monday nights from 6:45pm to 8:00pm.

Wilmot Kids Connect is returning in the Winter of 2024. I will run on Monday evenings from 6:45pm - 8:00pm at Wilmot Centre Church. If your kids were registered for the Fall 2023 session, there is no need to re-register. For those wanting to join us in January, just scroll down to the registration button below.

• No meetings happening February 19th, March 11th, or April 1st

Each week at Wilmot Kids Connect, kids engage in:

• An Opening Group Activity (games/ice breaker)
• A Group Teaching Time (video and bible teaching)
• Small Group Electives (skills-based connection and discussion time)

For a 6 week block, children will be able to participate in a Small Group Elective. During these times, leaders will teach their group a skill and engage students in informal discussions around the teaching shared with the group earlier in the evening.

The Small Group Elective options include:

Cooking

Participate in cooking and tasting new recipes each week...yum!

Woodworking

If you like building using tools, this is the group for you. Work towards building a project over multiple weeks.

STEM Projects

Have a blast doing experiments or building structures all in the name of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Sign Language to Music

Learn sign language to a song to present in front of the church.

Embroidery

Come explore working towards completing a cross stitch project over the 6 weeks. Bring home a beautifully embroidered piece of art.

Board Games

Play various board games catered to your age and have tons of fun!

Crafts/Painting

Express your God-given creative side as you make a different creative project each week.
